Bub is 11-years old and obsessed with documentary filmmaking. In the aftermath of her family breakdown, Bub turns to dramatised re-enactments to get to the truth.
A kid with a camera. Two adults. No rehearsal.
For each performance, a young performer works with two unrehearsed adult actors for the first time. As Bub guides them to re-enact her personal experiences, these brave (or foolhardy) performers discover the story on the night, negotiating difficult questions about parenting, agency, mental health and how we speak to children.
re:group performance collective is an independent theatre company based between Sydney and Wollongong which takes inspiration from the highs and lows of pop culture to make theatre projects. Their aim is to turn the typically comfortable and passive movie-going experience into something immersive, irreverent, sweaty and live. The technology they use is core to the ideas in each work they make.
On 7.5 at 16:00, an Artist Talk with the group will take place at the Festival Center and will be broadcast live on Radio RaBe. Additionally, also on 7.5., a Q&A session with the group will be held at the Dampfzentrale following the performance.
Easy Read
On stage are a girl and two adults. The adults are don’t know the play when it starts. The girl leads them through it. The play is about how a family can cope with depression.
Surtitles
The English spoken text is surtitled in German and English. The surtitles do not contain additional information about sounds and music.
Sign Language Interpretation
The performance on 6.5. will be translated into Swiss German Sign Language (DSGS). Places with good visibility to the interpreters are marked.

For people with mobility disabilities
The Dampfzentrale is wheelchair accessible. Stairlifts are available to the foyer, the hall Turbinensaal, and the toilets. An Access Friend will be happy to assist you with the lifts, or you can use the Eurokey. The theatre has an accessible toilet.
Beanbags
Beanbags are available in the front row for you to sit on. Alternative seating (seats, cushions, etc.) is available.

This production thematizes Bipolar Affective Disorder, depression and suicide.
The production contains the direct address of the audience, yet no direct interaction.
